Core Accountabilities:

The Supervisor will be a constant role model for the Emson Haig values, and ensure they give every customer a ‘World Class Customer Experience’. They will drive a department within the showroom and consistently achieve sales targets, whilst being a team player and acting with integrity and enthusiasm.

They will be accountable for setting an example to others and delivering exceptional behaviours in the following areas:

  • Delivery of personal and departmental Sales Targets and KPI objectives
  • Commercial awareness of competitor activity
  • Compliance to security procedures
  • Compliance to Health and Safety procedures
  • Maintaining visual merchandising to company standards
  • Managing the till and associated transactional procedures
  • Open the store, setting up effectively to maximise the day, and closing the store after trade
  • Keeping up to date with knowledge of product and services offered in store
  • Participate in continuing professional development through store training; out of hours’ meetings and VM changes as required
  • Supporting the management team with any operational or people related activities as required
  • Act as duty manager on shifts when no senior management team member is available
  • Effectively manage customer issues and complaints
  • Build and manage relationships with head office colleagues
  • Completion of all training requirements through e-learning and other sources
  • Maintenance of the store housekeeping standards
  • Demonstrating a perfect example of company dress code standards

They will also be required to assist in other areas as and when necessary.

Essential Experience:

  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to build relationships with customers
  • Retail experience within a consultative environment
  • Proven track record of sales achievements

Desirable Experience:

  • High end jewellery retail experience
  • Jewellery and watch product knowledge
  • Visual merchandising skills
  • Advanced selling skills and negotiation skills
  • External Jewellery or Retail qualifications
